Random Inspiration of the Moment

Words about love
Sad, beautiful and probably true all in one.

Flowers
Spring has me obsessed with flowers - especially roses & orchids. I want to put them everywhere.

Kaftans, Turban Headbands & Wedge Boots
Frassy
This look completely sums up what I'm into style-wise at the moment. I think it's the perfect look for spring. Check out Frassy's blog. Her style is the perfect combination of on-trend mixed with vintage to create stylish, yet unique looks.

The Script - For the First Time
I am obsessed with with song at the moment. I've played it over and over again for days now.

This pic of Anna Brewster
Studded Hearts
She looks so cool and I love the colour of her slightly wavy hair. And that coat!

The Future
Bella 185
I feel like time is moving so fast. It's scary but exciting the same time.

It's time to go start my day!
Busy day ahead - cleaning, studying and dinner with the girls tonight :)

A little fetish inspired...

Ahhh these red wedge boots are amazing!

Kim Nooda & Bette Franke

L'Officiel Netherlands September 2010

This is such a sexy, yet sophisticated shoot. It reminds me of something out of an Agent Provocateur catalogue or Belle de Jour in The Secret Diary of a London Call Girl. I love the contrast of the fetish inspired pieces like the shinny black bra, chocker necklace and the tough suspender stockings, up against the sweet hair and makeup and garden backdrop. The red accent pieces look fantastic, breaking up the monochrome shoots and making each look stand out, while still completing each other so well.

Combination of all things cool - lace tights, body suits, shaggy fur coats & lace-up ankle boots

Olivia Palermo

Taylor Momsen
Zimbio

Chloe Sevigny
Love this look! If only I could braid hair. Interesting quote too....

All things lace have been in for a while now. Unfortunately, the trend has a become a little tacky thanks to an overload of lace clothing and accessories available in high street stores (sounds better than chain stores). I've been meaning to do a post on lace for a while. Since I have collected so many pics, I thought I'd start with lace tights, which I'm still much a fan of. They are the perfect balance between showing off some skin, but still covering up a little. And they add a bit of an edge to liven up an outfit. It was when I saw the above pic of Chloe that I decided I simply must find a pair of lace tights and get myself a pair of suede ankle boots. I now own both :)  Surprisingly, a great pair of lace tights were harder to find than I thought. I ended up settling for a pair from Sportsgirl which are very similar to the ones warn above by Kasia in the Numero shoot. I was hoping to get something with a larger floral pattern, like the ones worn by Taylor Momsen, but I haven't come across any of the sort as yet.

Ksubi Spring/Summer 2010

Ksubi Spring/Summer 2010 at Rosemount Fashion Week

I've never really been a fan of Ksubi until this collection. Maybe because I'm not a big jeans fan as I feel more comfortable in tights or pants. However, I do own a fabulous pair of   Ksubi lycra tights with industrial zippers down the back of the leg, which have become a wardrobe favourite of mine. They are so Lady Gaga....in a good way of course. Perhaps, this show caught my attention because Bambi was one of the models strutting down the runway. She is definitely one of my fav Aussie models at the moment. This collection is exactly the sort of thing I'm into at the moment, which I would describe as "tough glamour". I'm very much a fan of monochrome, bodysuits and black suede ankle wedge boots (I can't stop wearing mine!) As for jeans, I haven't worn white jeans in years, but I think they may the perfect staple piece this summer. Love the straight hair, black eyes and nude lips too - a look you can't go wrong with for a night out.

Utility Chic

Lily Donaldson

Lily's outfit is perfection. It's the perfect blend of femininity and grunge. A rather simple look combining ankle boots, shinny skinny leg pants, a white t, black fur, a chunky metal neckpiece and utility coat to create the ultimate streetwear look. Her sleek tied back hair and clean makeup complements the look so well. Of late, I've found myself adding a grunge element to an otherwise polished look, may it be a shaggy fur, worn boots, metal chains or a utility coat or shirt. This pic has inspired me to further embrace utility pieces in a chic way :)

Aussie Stylist Christine Centenera

Love these leopard boots!

Awesome Coat

What I would do for that skirt.....

Trackies teamed with fur and heels?

Need inspiration for an outfit? Look no further than stylist & fashionista Christine Centenera. I love the way she mixes mini dresses, ankle boots and coats for the ultimate on-trend look, but in a way that makes it look effortless. With Christine, it's all about the clothes. Hair and make-up are kept simple in order to give the clothes full effect. I find her style very wearable in the scheme of what it worn to the fashion shows. I'm not sure if I could get away with wearing trackies with a fur coat and heels, but I  think she can get away with it. It's great to see an Australian magazine stylist in the spotlight at the shows.
